Teamsters Local 728 reaches tentative agreement with First Student

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A representative with Teamsters Local 728 Union has told WTOC it has reached a tentative agreement with First Student after months of negotiations.

School bus drivers have been pushing for income security over the summer because a new law makes the drivers ineligible for unemployment benefits, something they rely on over the summer months.

More details will be released on Sunday at the ratification meeting.
