USO celebrates 75th birthday at HAAF

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The United Service Organization celebrated a big milestone on Thursday: its 75th birthday!
The USO has been one of the nation's leading organizations to serve the men and women in the U.S. Military, and their families.
The Savannah USO celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony at Hunter Army Airfield.
"The mission is to make sure that there is somebody to greet the soldiers when they deploy or redeploy back home; that there is a friendly face there to greet them," said Howard Hallman, USO Volunteer, HAAF.
Another cake-cutting and celebration took place at the USO reception center at the Savannah Hilton Head International Airport on Thursday.
