City of Pooler sees influx of jobs

POOLER, GA (WTOC) - Seventy new jobs are headed to the city of Pooler.

Friday morning, Nordic Logistics showed off it's new 200,000 square-foot addition, located off Jimmy Deloach Parkway. Nordic is one of the nation's largest cold storage warehouse companies. The new warehouse will double Nordic's capacity in the area.

"When you're a city that's growing, you grow in population, but you've definitely got to look out for jobs, for industries to come in your area, and we've been very blessed and fortunate to have industries such as Nordic and many others come to our city, and most of them, probably all of them, are partners, not just businesses coming here," said Mayor Mike Lamb, City of Pooler.

Pooler's mayor says that since Nordic opened in the area, they've been talking about a phase two. With this addition, it's now complete, and he says he hopes to see more expansions in the future.
