Local giving circle awards $80,000 in community grants

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah Philanthropic Partners, a women-led giving circle dedicated to improving the well-being of women, children and underserved communities in Savannah recently awarded $80,000 in community grants.

This is the fifth year Philanthropic Partners has made contributions to local organizations that advance workforce development, economic mobility and essential-care services.

A $50,000 grant went to Hospice Savannah to launch a certified nursing assistant training program in partnership with Savannah Technical College and Senior Citizen’s, Inc.

Goodwill Southeast Georgia received a $30,000 grant to expand its Mobile Mission Outreach initiative that brings job training, adult education and wraparound services directly into Savannah neighborhoods.
