COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Over 350,000 ballots have been cast over the first four days of South Carolina’s early voting period.

Data from the South Carolina Election Commission shows 82,886 ballots were cast statewide on Thursday, bringing the cumulative total to 363,566.

Greenville, Charleston and Richland counties have seen the highest turnout thus far, with each seeing over 30,000 ballots cast.

Horry, York, Spartanburg, Lexington, Berkeley, Beaufort and Aiken rounded out the top 10.

Monday’s first day of the early voting window saw more than double the turnout compared to the 2022 midterm election. That number was slightly down from the 2024 presidential election.

Other details, such as voter participation by party affiliation, are not made available in a general election.
