RICHMOND HILL, GA (WTOC) - A ribbon cutting was held Monday for "Victory Haven Café," an organic juice and smoothie bar, located inside the Georgia Game Changers Running Store.
Store owners, Tim and Naomi Havens, say the purpose of the café is to assist others who are pursuing a natural approach to regaining their health.
Naomi is a 15-year breast cancer survivor, who chose against chemo and radiation treatment. The couple says that throughout their journey, they have learned how nutrition plays a huge part in health and disease.
"My juices and smoothies are organic. They're non-GMO. They are gluten-free. They are plant-based, because a lot of us; our diets; our bodies; cannot handle those things anymore, and there's not that much available for us," said Naomi Havens, Co-Founder & Owner, Victory Haven.
Besides serving up smoothies, the café will hold weekly health support meetings and monthly movie nights. The first movie will be this Thursday at 7 p.m., featuring the movie, "Sick Fat & Nearly Dead." For more information, click here.
