Former Chatham County Sheriff's Office Lt. Rick Hall appeared in court Monday morning and pleaded not guilty to all charges after being indicted on several counts of child molestation.
Hall is facing three charges. One for production of child porn and using a child to produce images, the second two relate to different dates for transporting a child across state lines with the intent to engage in sexual acts.
A complaint led to a search warrant and Hall's arrest. A previous complaint was filed in 2008, but an investigation failed to produce substantial evidence to prosecute.
An investigation in 2013 led to the identity of additional victims and other criminal activity. The investigation was conducted by the CCSO with assistance of the Chatham County District Attorney's Office.
In court, prosecution had submitted some discovery, including recording of one victim.
Defense was given 30 days to file pre-trial motions.
Hall remains in the Chatham County Detention Center and faces up to life in prison.
